Synopsis

In Harlan Coben's gripping third Myron Bolitar novel, "Fade Away," the wisecracking sports agent is plunged into a mystery that reopens old wounds and threatens his very life. The disappearance of former basketball star Greg Downing—a man Myron once competed against both on the court and for the affections of the same woman—sends Bolitar down a dangerous path. What begins with a seemingly domestic disturbance in a pristine suburban home, marked by signs of a violent struggle and blood, quickly escalates into a complex investigation. Myron finds himself navigating a treacherous world populated by sports stars, ambitious wannabes, desperate gamblers, and relentless groupies, all while confronting the ghosts of his own past. As he digs deeper, Myron uncovers a dark underbelly of secrets and betrayal, realizing that his search for Greg could lead to a fate as chilling as the one he's trying to uncover, putting his own life squarely in the crosshairs.
