Synopsis

In Robert B. Parker's "Stardust," Boston's iconic private investigator Spenser finds himself embroiled in his most glamorous—and dangerous—case yet. His client is Jill Joyce, the captivating and sharp-witted star of the popular TV show, 'Fifty Minutes.' Joyce is being stalked, and the threats are escalating, making Spenser's job more complicated than simply identifying a deranged fan. Initially, Spenser finds himself wrestling with his own complicated feelings about the volatile and demanding actress, almost empathizing with the unseen tormentor. However, as the sinister plot unravels, Jill experiences the true terror of "stage fright" when the threats turn deadly. Spenser is drawn deeper into a labyrinth of celebrity, deception, and escalating violence, uncovering a murder plot with a shocking twist that challenges even his seasoned cynicism and forces him to confront the dark underbelly of fame and ambition.
