Synopsis

In the gripping sequel to "The Rage of Dragons," Queen Tsiora, ousted from her throne, finds herself in a desperate alliance with Tau, a young warrior whose legendary combat skills are now her only hope. As an indigenous invasion threatens the capital of Xidda, Tsiora and Tau must execute a perilous plan: Tau's success is crucial to buy Tsiora the time she needs to rally her forces. Her ultimate goal is an audacious assault on her own capital city, currently occupied by her sister, who has been deceptively propped up as the 'true' Queen of the Omehi. Should Tsiora manage to retake her throne and unite her fractured people, the Omehi might stand a chance against the looming destruction. This intense narrative plunges readers into a world of political maneuvering, brutal warfare, and the fierce struggle for survival against overwhelming odds, all set against a richly imagined, South African-inspired backdrop.

Critical Reception

"Praised as 'epic fantasy at its finest,' this novel solidifies its place as a 'relentlessly gripping' and 'brilliant' continuation of a masterful series."
