Twenty-five years after China establishes the first lunar colony, the fragile peace and intricate politics of the Moon are on the brink of collapse. American communications technician Fred Fredericks arrives on the Moon for his first tour of duty, only to witness a murder shortly after landing, plunging him into a dangerous web of conspiracy and forcing him into hiding. Simultaneously, celebrity travel reporter Ta Shu, a man of significant influence, finds his carefully curated lunar experience shattered by unforeseen perils and deepening mysteries. Adding to the volatile mix is Chan Qi, the enigmatic daughter of China's Minister of Finance, who is on the Moon for highly personal and secretive reasons. Her attempt to discreetly return to Earth triggers a cascade of events that threatens to unravel the delicate balance between lunar factions and terrestrial powers.
