Synopsis

In 1845, Sir John Franklin's Royal Navy expedition, comprising HMS Erebus and HMS Terror, sets sail to navigate the fabled Northwest Passage. However, the mission swiftly turns disastrous when both state-of-the-art ships become hopelessly trapped in the unforgiving ice of the Arctic Circle. As a second brutal winter descends, the crews face unimaginable horrors: plummeting temperatures, dwindling and spoiled rations, widespread illness, and the psychological torment of isolation and despair. Their grand vessels are slowly crushed by the relentless ice, forcing the men to contend with starvation, mutiny, and the ultimate descent into desperation. Yet, the most terrifying adversary isn't the environment or human frailty. An unseen, monstrous entity, a primeval predator known as 'The Terror,' stalks them from the frigid darkness, picking off survivors and transforming their struggle for survival into a relentless, supernatural nightmare.
