The Gods Themselves

In a future twenty-second century Earth, humanity discovers an ingenious solution to its energy crisis: a limitless, seemingly free power source derived from a 'Para-Universe' via a technology known as the Electron Pump. This miraculous device, gifted by an alien race inhabiting the parallel dimension, promises an era of unprecedented prosperity. However, the true cost of this boundless energy is far more dire than anyone imagines. A brilliant but ostracized Earth scientist, a rebellious alien from the dying 'soft' species of the Para-Universe, and an intuitive lunar-born human woman each independently come to a horrifying realization: the energy transfer process is destabilizing the fundamental constants of both universes, threatening to ignite Earth's Sun and destroy both realities.
