Synopsis

Phoebe, Lady Clare, a beautiful young widow, holds a steadfast animosity towards West Ravenel, remembering him as the bully who tormented her late husband in boarding school. Despite never having met him in person, her opinion of him is cemented. However, fate intervenes at a family wedding, where she encounters a captivating and irresistibly charming stranger. An immediate, potent attraction sparks between them, a 'fire-and-ice jolt' that leaves Phoebe reeling. Her shock is profound when this alluring man introduces himself as none other than West Ravenel. West, burdened by a tarnished past, believes a woman of Phoebe's caliber is far beyond his reach, yet he is consumed by an undeniable desire for her. What he doesn't anticipate is Phoebe's true nature: far from a straitlaced aristocrat, she is the daughter of Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent, the notorious 'devilishly wicked rake' of England, and his equally strong-willed wife. As Phoebe's fiery spirit awakens, spurred by West, she embarks on a bold journey to seduce the man who has ignited her deepest passions. Their overwhelming connection faces the formidable challenge of overcoming past grievances and societal expectations. Can their intense passion forge a future despite their troubled history? Only the 'devil's daughter' knows the answer.
