Synopsis

The seemingly impenetrable world of financial mogul Rex Fortescue is shattered when he drops dead at his office desk, a cup of tea still in hand. The initial shock deepens into macabre intrigue when police discover rye grains stuffed into his pockets. This bizarre detail instantly evokes the chilling nursery rhyme, 'Sing a Song of Sixpence,' a connection not lost on the astute Miss Marple, who soon becomes involved due to her acquaintance with one of the Fortescue household's former servants. As the investigation unfolds, more victims surface, each death mirroring a line from the nursery rhyme, turning the grand, opulent home into a sinister stage for a killer operating with unnerving precision. Miss Marple must navigate a labyrinth of family secrets, old grudges, and hidden motives to unmask a murderer whose macabre game uses childhood innocence as a blueprint for deadly revenge, before the entire 'song' is played out.

Critical Reception
