Biography
Gary Zukav is an American spiritual teacher, author, and speaker, best known for his contributions to the field of spiritual evolution and human consciousness. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, in 1942, he graduated from Harvard University and served as a U.S. Army Special Forces officer in Vietnam. His groundbreaking first book, "The Dancing Wu Li Masters: An Overview of the New Physics" (1979), won a U.S. National Book Award and popularized the connections between quantum physics and Eastern mysticism. Later, he shifted his focus to spiritual growth with "The Seat of the Soul" (1989), which became a New York Times bestseller and was championed by Oprah Winfrey. Zukav's work emphasizes concepts like authentic power, conscious choice, emotional awareness, and the evolution of the soul, aiming to guide individuals towards a more purposeful and spiritually aligned life. He co-founded the Seat of the Soul Institute with his wife, Linda Francis.
