Biography

Angie Sage is a British author of children's fantasy books, best known for her Septimus Heap series. Born in London and raised in the Thames Valley, Sage initially pursued a career in illustration, studying at the Art School at Leicester Polytechnic. Before becoming a full-time author, she illustrated numerous books, which honed her visual storytelling skills. Her transition to writing brought her widespread acclaim, particularly with the publication of 'Magyk' in 2005, the first book in the Septimus Heap series. This series quickly garnered a global following for its intricate world-building, charming characters, and blend of humor and adventure. Sage also penned the TodHunter Moon trilogy, a spin-off from the Septimus Heap world, and the Araminta Spook series.
