Michael A. Singer is an American spiritual teacher, author, and CEO. He is best known for his New York Times bestselling books, "The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself" and "The Surrender Experiment: My Journey into Life's Perfection." Singer earned a master's degree in economics from the University of Florida in 1971. In 1972, he experienced a profound inner awakening and retreated into solitude to focus on yoga and meditation. He founded the Temple of the Universe, a spiritual center in Alachua, Florida, open to people of all faiths.
