John Gretton "Jocko" Willink Jr. is a retired United States Navy SEAL officer, author, podcaster, and leadership consultant. Born in 1971, he served in the SEAL Teams for 20 years, including commanding SEAL Team 3's Task Unit Bruiser during the Battle of Ramadi in Iraq, which became one of the most decorated special operations units of the Iraq War. After his distinguished military career, Willink co-founded Echelon Front, a leadership consulting firm, with fellow SEAL Leif Babin.
