Nicola Yoon is a Jamaican-American author celebrated for her bestselling young adult novels. Born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and Phoenix, Arizona, Yoon initially pursued a career in computer programming for two decades before dedicating herself to writing full-time. Her debut novel, "Everything, Everything" (2015), quickly became a New York Times bestseller and was adapted into a successful film.
