Biography
John Robert Wooden (1910-2010) was an American basketball player and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in the history of sports. Known as the 'Wizard of Westwood,' he led the UCLA Bruins men's basketball team to an unprecedented ten NCAA national championships in a 12-year period from 1964 to 1975, including seven consecutive titles. His coaching philosophy was encapsulated in his 'Pyramid of Success,' a holistic approach to life and achievement built upon principles like hard work, discipline, self-control, and teamwork. Wooden was also a three-time All-American guard at Purdue University.
