Biography

Seth Godin is an American author, entrepreneur, marketer, and public speaker. He is best known for his work in the fields of direct marketing and permission marketing. Born in 1960, Godin graduated from Tufts University and later earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He founded Yoyodyne, one of the first internet-based direct marketing companies, which he later sold to Yahoo! in 1998. He then served as Yahoo!'s VP of Permission Marketing. Godin has authored over 20 books, many of which have been bestsellers, including 'Permission Marketing,' 'Purple Cow,' 'Tribes,' and 'Linchpin.' His writing often challenges conventional wisdom in business and encourages individuals and organizations to pursue remarkable work, build communities, and lead with purpose. He is also the founder of the altMBA, an intensive online workshop designed to help people level up their leadership and management skills.
